Expect the Unexpected

We end our earth day week celebration being wildlife friendly. Now it may not seem like a property with dogs is compatible with a wildlife habitat or beautiful garden. However, our charter member Debbie Oliver, has proven that the two can co-exist peacefully.
Debbie’s property is a Certified Wildlife Habitat designated by the National Wildlife Federation. Debbie not only has a passion for dogs, but also watching birds. For her it is a meditation that clears the mind. This makes her more effective in operating her business in both focus and creativity.
Debbie also enjoys gardening as a way to balance time away from the business. She and the dogs find joy and enrichment from the birds and bunnies that make her habitat their home.
Clients of Miss Daisy’s describe her garden as welcoming and calming when they arrive to drop-off their dogs. However, the biggest compliment Debbie has received was from a client that saw her Certified Wildlife Habitat sign one day and made a very special request.
Her family was looking for a place where dogs had fun, birds were abundant and wildlife welcomed. Their cousin that passed away too young loved dogs, birds and gardening and they asked if her memorial bench could be placed at Miss Daisy’s.
The bench has a place of honor that has sparked more creative ideas from Debbie to expand it to include a rainbow bridge. The area will honor both people and animals that bring joy to our lives.
We are so lucky in pet services to care for animals and share our lives with many wonderful people. Sometimes it’s the unexpected acts that come from pursuing our own passions that brings us the greatest gifts.
