Managing Pet Intake and Departure

When these processes are followed, you’ll see more streamlined operations, better documentation, and seamless experiences for your clients and their pets. This Lunch and Learn will guide you and your team through the process of establishing these procedures and help you avoid the pitfalls of miscommunication between shifts, clients, and departments.

Prior to Lunch & Learn Session:

• In preparation for leading the group discussion, the leader should review the supporting document section to determine how the information will be presented.

• Gather your current operations manual, SOPs, or any relevant materials.

• Review “Streamlining Intake and Departure Routines” (included below.)

• Optional: Print enough copies of the Intake and Departure Procedures Comment Card (included below) for all of your employees. Cut each sheet in half to create two comment cards per page.
