Toys, Treats, and Trinkets for Daycare 2.0

1.4 min readPublished On: April 28, 2016Categories: Enrichment

Last month we discussed changing the model of daycare from the routine daylong daycare model to one that is more specialized, more high touch, and can generate more revenue. You want to be on the cutting edge of this industry and we want to help get you there! Be sure to check out a previous bonus item if you haven’t seen our implementation process for Daycare 2.0. We are continuing the discussion into this month and wanted to provide some resources for toys, treats, and trinkets.

As you move to a new model of daycare, you’ll want to tailor your program to each individual dog. But that means you’ll want to have lots of ideas to offer your clients. The goal here is to have more options than a dog could possible do in any given day. You want to be a Disney World for dogs with lots of rides, attractions, and fun! You want your clients to leave always wanting more and lots of options means it will be hard for your competition to compete against you. Your clients will want to stay with you because you are the place of fun, the place where the dog is safe, and the place where the dog gets a highly individualize day of activities rather than just one routine of playing with other dogs all day.

As a bonus item this month, we have put together our Favorite Resources for Daycare 2.0. Use this as a starting point and let us know of other resources you have found useful as well. Together we can create this new model of daycare to move the industry forward!
